In TV Tropes terms, I lean very heavily towards The Lancer and, unapologetically, Jerk With A Heart of Gold. Patronizing, arrogant, and deliberately antagonizing characters are a love of mine, and a number of my jerk characters come off as jerks because they are more interested in deflecting own issues than they are in opening up to others. But I do have a weakness for characters with a high sense of justice (well intentioned, if only in their own head), so I don't often end up with a Jerk With A Heart of Jerk. Outright chaotic jerkdom is not really an interest of mine.
