I've heard people argue about whether 2012 or 2013 felt like 'luckier' years, some people liking 2012 because it was an even number, or some people liking 2013 because it will be Year of the Snake. Completely arbitrarily, which number year do you prefer of the two, and what completely unscientific reason do you have to back up your choice? There's something aesthetically pleasing about the number 2012, including that it's even, but 2013 is four different numbers and that has a whimsical quality. I'll go with 2013. Optimism wins. 3.
