I only see you when my sight is lost

So being in the attic of my family's house is an interesting (and very cold) experience.  I found Little Sage's Very First Cowboy Vest, and also her Very First Supergirl Outfit.   Also I swear to god I own EVERY Stephen King book ever made, and all in the hardback versions, which is extremely fun to navigate down a fifteen foot rickety wood ladder.  Also made the brilliant realization that I should probably trade in the 50 or so CDs that I never listen to anymore, and get some New Hotness.

Does anybody have any want/need for a Nintendo Gamecube?  I know I can sell it, but my baby actually means a LOT to me (I remember saving up for months to get her), and I sort of can't bring myself to just dump it with strangers.  (It is in perfect condition, save for the Pikachu sticker I put on it).   If nobody is interested here, I'll see if anybody at my work with kids would be interested.

I did talk to my boss on Friday, and it went very smoothly, and he understands what I needed to do and why I have to quit.  I can't get put down to part-time, but I can start getting cut hours in mid-March, which should be good enough.  I'll be completely quit by April, and free to drive across the country like Thelma and Louise with Angie.

Drove past my high school today, and for not the first time, it occurred to me that the further away I get from high school, the less I can believe that I could actually SURVIVE that shit for so long.  Work seems like total fun and play compared to how much I hated high school.  I also feel like a more stable person the farther away I get from the high school/college days.  As I was telling Angie, I was happy she met me during my later college years, cause nobody would have liked or tolerated me in high school.  What a spaz-bucket.

Want to finish as much as I can in the next hour or two, then take a break and visit my brother at his job.  The cats down here are crawling all over me, at least when they aren't whining for chicken or to go outside.

(Pixie, I need to catch up with you for Fanime talk <3  I'm still going, just want to work out some logistics).

No worries! I will be online intermittently -- I came home early today fighting another budding migraine and will prolly be up and down all day. ^_^ We should be able to catch up with no problems. Yay for still going to Fanime!

Also, yay for work talk going smoothly! I'd have more words, but brain is not working very well at the moment. XD

I'd be happy to take the Gamecube off your hands if it can be shipped to Virginia. I haven't gotten the blasted memory card to work on the Wii so I can save my Harvest Moon games. Plus, I'm hoping to get hold of a copy of ChibiRobo (LOVED that game).

Glad everything's working out for the better!

Also, everybody is a spaz in High School. It gets it out of our systems for the real world.

No worries. I think I have an old controller I was using on the Wii.

For the sake of your ego, I'll go with your glee that I met you in late college. Personally, I think I still would have liked you. But then I like to think I can see through the shit to the diamond within. <3

I'll be completely quit by April, and free to drive across the country like Thelma and Louise with Angie.

Except with less attempted rape, murder, and Brad Pitt... Damn, why don't you have a black 67 Chevy Impala? (Yes, I'm going to make classic rock mixes for the drive. Deal with it.)

......... And Lennon is trying to claw his way into the box that is holding your Girl Scout cookies.
