And I don't like letting go

impersonaIN VEGAS, ALIVE!!!
So yes! Angie and I left PA on Monday, and got in yesterday evening (Friday evening). To my absolute shock, NOTHING WENT WRONG DURING THE TRIP. Like, the closest thing I'd call a 'disaster' was the hour delay we had at the Hoover Dam (which was fucking beautiful my god). But despite all of my fears, my car did not explode in Kansas (we didn't even GO THROUGH Kansas, I discovered), I did not get robbed, my car did not get robbed, we didn't get hit by anything, the hotel rooms weren't crap, etc etc. In fact the trip was very very very smooth as all hell. Thanks to very good timing on the part of the IRS, I got my return the day that we left, and ended up not having to tap into any of my savings. Man.
A lot of that has to do with Angie, who was a splendid traveling companion. Should I ever have to go on a great magical quest to destroy a ring/wand/nameless evil, she's on my shortlist of people to join my Fellowship.
Uh so I'm too hungry to make my properly long post. But we are in Vegas, I'm in my family's apartment (holy crap this is the first time in 6 years I've had to live with them aaaaaaaaaaaah), and we have ADVENTURES planned out for the day. Pretty sweet.
