This is a wonderful little glimpse into that very special time in every Hunter's life... No, not puberty. I like that the power's appearance tied into his emotions. Val is such a bundle of them that it would only be natural that something like that would be the trigger. He's not melodramatic but he's very real with his wounded teenage pride.
