Mostly just posting something to indicate that yes, I do live. I've just been uberwonky as of late, and inconsistent and ADD and etc.
Fanime made me so happy ;_; It's one thing to have an online network of patently awesome people, but it is another thing to actually see the people and interact with them. Plus, looking at all of the beautiful cosplaying is forever my favorite part of Fanime itself.
I did come to a conclusion afterwards though - I need to make more of an effort to make more friends IRL. That sounds very terrible but it is true. I object to making friends with co-workers because I'm not interested in people at work knowing too much about my private business, so I have to find other outlets and other ways to connect with people offline. I found a knitting shop that is nice to sit and chill at, and I have to look more into finding more interest-based networks.
HERPA DERP, FRIENDS <3
I should have pictures of pretty knitted things I made later this week <3 including a shrug and some mitts.

Date: 2011-06-07 04:56 am (UTC)And its important to have friends AROUND where you are, because people on the internet cannot go to the movies with you, or to the park, or to downtown SF wearing silly hats....

Date: 2011-06-08 01:34 am (UTC)I can't wait to show you the knitting! When K was here, she helped me a lot with the shrug, and she expressed jealousy in that my knitting is very much on-gauge and even.
http://craftylittlesewnsew.wordpress.com/2010/08/26/free-knitting-pattern-fable-mitts/ This is the mitt pattern - they are really really cute and very easy to knit up, so it might become my go-to Christmas gift this year :D

Anyway, you're an awesome person online and off. You'll find some fleshy folks to hang with. <3

Date: 2011-06-08 01:36 am (UTC)Yeah, I think having more IRL friends will help me out with my various confidence and insecurity issues too. Plus, it'll help me fill out a kinetic and social gap that I do feel, and I really should be using my twenties to get out there and really mix in with others.
Thank you ;_;
