THE CONSENUS SEEMS TO BE - FUCK YOU 2009!

Though, even if I had my ups and downs, largely 2009 treated me fairly well.  The biggest HURRAH was that I was able to achieve my biggest 2009 goals -  to lose weight, to revamp my wardrobe COMPLETELY, to complete Nanowrimo, and to save up money to move to the West Coast.   I've had my failings, but I always do, and it won't help me much to berate myself over them.   I'm overall proud of myself for how I've handled this year, and I think I am a much more mature, patient person now than I was going into it.

Major resolutions for 2010:

MOVE TO THE WEST COAST  THIS WILL BE DONE, THIS SHOULDN'T EVEN COUNT AS A RESOLUTION BECAUSE IT WILL BE DONE.  The big question is how XDDDDDDD

GET A JOB WHICH ALLOWS FOR BRAINWORK  I am fairly sure that I don't care much about the salary, as long as I can you know, support myself and all.  I just need to do SOMETHING ELSE GOD PLEASE.

JOIN CLUBS AND DO SHIT   I WANT TO JOIN CLUBS SO BADLY IT HURTS.   RP is really the only community-activity I do now, but I want to take CLASSES.  and SPORTS.  and KNITTING CLUBS and other stuff.  Can't do it now because my schedule is so inconsistent and batfuck.
IMPROVE RELATIONSHIPS.   In general.  Being a better friend, breaking out of my shell and opening myself up to more friendships, hopefully getting into dating before the end of the year (depending, of course).

SUBMIT A WRITING PIECE SOMEWHERE
This is really scary, actually, but I need to get to this point if I'm really going to be fucking serious about writing.  Cause there is nothing I want less than to be someone who writes fic and never makes anything of it.  I have to focus more on writing stuff that doesn't need insane amounts of context, mostly.

DON'T GAIN WEIGHT!  I am really proud that I lost as much weight as I did (40 pounds).  Plz to keeping it this way, cause I actually have a degree of self-esteem regarding my appearance now.   Keeping my hair nice and short helps a lot too, and I'm going to experiment with MAKE-UP this year gasp.

Lesser goals/things I'm excited for include:

- Driving cross-country this spring (I think everyone should do this at least once in their life)

- MAD EPIC WEST COAST ADVENTURES I'm actually really hoping that I can take two months 'break' from working so I can get all of my traveling done without the madness of trying to squeeze things into a really stupid schedule.   ALSO OTAKON THIS SUMMER, THOUGH THAT IS NOT EXACTLY WEST COAST.

- Work on my Twelve Kingdoms RPG!  Later today, I'm actually going to type up my notes so far into a public Google Docs, and I invite people to comment, question, and suggest all they like <3

-  Buying purple Uggs (winter) and purple Fit-Flops (summer).   But only if I get a real career-sort-of-job.

- NOVEL PLANNING.  K and I are planning a Nano Planning Month in February, and now I'm stuck trying to figure out which idea of mine I want to pursue XDDDD

- ....ZOMG THE YGO TENTH ANNIVERSERY MOVIE I CANNOT WAIT AAAAAAAAAAAAAH *fangirl swoon*

And in a good old SHARE THE LOVE moment...thank you to EVERYONE for really making this year wonderful, and for supporting me and telling me I don't suck as much as I think I do and the hundreds of other little things you do on a daily basis which makes my days worthwhile.  HEARTS ABOUND I LOVE YOU ALL <3333333333333333

I STRONGLY SUPPORT ALL OF THESE ENDEAVOURS. *cheerleads like crazy* Having done a couple dozen transcontinental moves, let me know if you'd like me to assist in the storming of brains re: logistics and whatnot. And I agree, I think everyone should drive across the country at least once. ^_^

SO MUCH LOVE FOR SAGE <3333333333333 I'm so glad I got to meet you!

(your icon reminds me I need to finish the Fable Knights Motorcycle Club art...)

AHAHAHA. XD I did the math this morning, trying to recall exactly how many times I've moved more than two states, and I kinda cringed. XD I've moved from Vegas to NYC, NYC to Los Angeles, LA to Chicago, NYC to San Francisco via Vegas, SF to Atlanta, Nashville to San Francisco -- and that's not counting Chicago to NYC or Atlanta to Easton PA and back to Atlanta again, which technically aren't transcontinental. *sheepish grin* I've done these drives in everything from 14' rental trucks to rented SUVs, depending on how much stuff I was dragging along with me and how much money I had available (sometimes it's actually cheaper to rent a regular car than a moving truck!).

TIMING IS EVERYTHING when turning in one's resignation from a job. Giving one's employer a heads up is generally good form -- severs the tie cleanly, gives you a good reference too. Two weeks' notice is customary in the non-retail world, so you might could use that as a guideline. (ALSO try to get a letter of reference, copies of past work appraisals, etc., so you have a paper trail and contact info for future job applications.)

Again, I'm totally available any ol' time for brainstorming and advice and stuff. <333 Yay for hanging out more!!
